Max Verstappen claimed pole position for the Miami Grand Prix, breaking a 29-year record by securing pole in the first six F1 races of the season. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will start behind him in second and third on the grid for tomorrow’s race. Sergio Perez qualified fourth, with McLaren and Mercedes cars lining up alongside each other. Nico Hulkenberg qualified ninth, while Yuki Tsunoda completed the top 10. Fernando Alonso missed out on Q3 and will start 15th, while his teammate Lance Stroll also failed to advance. Daniel Ricciardo, despite being strong in practice, ended up in 18th place and will drop even further due to a grid penalty from the preceding Chinese Grand Prix.
